Brent & Patricia Douglas
Prophet Brent & Patricia Douglas have been the senior pastors of Encounter Church for more than 30 years. They have been married for 40+ years and have five children and a growing number of grandchildren.
Together they lead Encounter Church in Auckland, and provide pastoral oversight to our church plants in Bream Bay and Levin. They both have a strong desire to see people experience dynamic encounters with the Holy Spirit, discover their giftings and be inspired to rise to the call of God for their lives.
Pastor Brent has travelled extensively, nationally and internationally, releasing the power of the Holy Spirit to bring renewal to churches. His ministry has been characterised by strong prophetic flows and has resulted in him now being internationally recognised as an apostle and prophet.
The central will of God for us is that we would have a deep relationship with Him. His character and desire is for intimacy with us and His promises for us throughout the Bible reveal a plan for our lives that is full of healing, power and purpose. A deeper understanding of God leads to a deeper understanding of who we are.
God wants us to live in freedom and abundance. We are designed to live in community - to be able to be known by others and journey together.
Surrounding ourselves with the right people is one of the most important steps we can take. Connect Groups help us to create heart-to-heart relationships with others as we support each other on the journey of life.
God has created each of us uniquely and has prepared us to do good works.
The world tells us to be like someone else but God tells us to rise into who He has called us to be. The main priority of our lives is to get in touch with why God put us on this planet. We can be grounded in His purpose for us and apply His wisdom in our journey forwards.
God wants us to be spiritual contributors instead of consumers. We are needed - in our families, by our friends and others in this faith community.
The best quality of life is found when we’re activating our God-given gifts to make a difference in the lives of those around us - physically, emotionally, spiritually.
